Terms of service

Last updated 18 September 2026.

These terms are between Callover and the studio, club or teacher who uses it. They are not the terms between you and the families who book with you: those are yours, they are shown on your own booking page, and Callover is not a party to them.

Callover is built and run by one person. There is no support department, and these terms say so plainly rather than promising otherwise.

Who we are

Callover is provided by Oleh Morshna, a sole trader trading as Callover, of 17 Alameda Place, London E3 2ZN, United Kingdom. Where these terms say "we" or "us", that is who they mean. Our contact address is in section 14 and in the footer of every page.

What Callover is

Callover is booking software for a class-based business. You get a public booking page that states, for each class, whether it has places or a waiting list, a form that takes a booking and charges the exact figure by card, and a dashboard with your bookings, your waiting list, a register, your payments and the letters the system has sent.

Each customer gets their own deployment: your own copy of the software, your own database and your own Stripe account. Your data is not in a shared database with anybody else's, and no other customer's data is in yours.

The software is provided as it is, with the features it has on the day you start using it. We add to it and we fix it, and we may change how something works. If we remove something you rely on, we will tell you before we do it.

Setting up your deployment

We set your deployment up ourselves: the project, the database, your classes, your prices, your term dates, your letters and your own wording for terms and consent. Set-up is a sitting with us, and we agree in writing what it costs, if anything, before we start. Nothing is charged for it unless you have agreed it.

For that we need what section 1 of our deploy runbook asks for: your classes and their times, what each costs, your term dates, the wording you want on your consents, and an email account the letters can be sent from. We can only enter what you give us, and a price or a date that is wrong when you give it to us will be wrong on your page.

You connect your own Stripe account yourself, with one button in your dashboard. If you have no Stripe account, Stripe will make you one during that click. We never ask you for a Stripe key, and we never hold one.

What you are responsible for

  • Keeping your dashboard password to yourself, and telling us if you think somebody else has it. Anyone with that password can see every booking and every family's contact details.
  • What your page says: your class information, your prices, your term dates, your booking terms, your consent wording and your refund position with your own customers.
  • Your own obligations to the families who book with you, including your contract with them, any consumer law that applies to you, and any duty of care, insurance, safeguarding or licensing your trade requires. Callover holds the records; it does not make you compliant.
  • Using it lawfully: no unlawful, false or harmful content on your page or in your letters, no sending letters to people who have not booked with you, and nothing that breaks the terms of Stripe or of your email provider.
  • Not reselling Callover, not running somebody else's business on your deployment without telling us, and not trying to break into it, overload it, or copy the software out of it.

The fee, and how it is taken

We take 1.5 per cent of the class price on each card booking made through your page. There is no monthly fee, and a month in which nobody pays by card costs you nothing. Where you refund a booking we return our fee on the refunded part to you.

The fee is taken as an application fee on the payment itself, at the moment the payment is made. You are never invoiced, and there is nothing for you to pay separately. Your dashboard shows each fee beside the booking it came from, and the same figures appear in your own Stripe account.

The fee is 1.5 per cent of the class price, which is your own published figure for what the customer is buying. Where you choose to add the fees to the price a customer pays, our fee is still 1.5 per cent of the class price and not of the larger figure.

A cash payment, a bank transfer and a payment taken on a card machine at your venue carry no fee, because no card was taken through your page.

Stripe's own fee is separate, is set by Stripe, and is charged by Stripe on every card payment. We take no share of it. The fee in full, including the VAT position, is set out on our pricing page.

We may change the fee. If we do, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the change will never apply to a payment already taken. If you do not want the new fee, you can stop using Callover before it starts, under section 10.

Where you refund a card booking in your own Stripe account while it is connected to Callover, we return our fee on the refunded part: all of it for a full refund, the same share for a partial one, and never more than we took. It comes back the next time Callover reads your Stripe account, which is at least once a day, and you do not have to ask for it. Stripe's own fee is Stripe's. A dispute or a chargeback is not a refund, and our fee is not returned on one. The rule is the same for every customer, and our pricing page says it too.

Stripe, and your money

Every card payment your page takes is made on your own Stripe account. The money lands in your Stripe balance, pays out to your bank on your own schedule, and the receipt, the statement line and the Stripe dashboard the customer deals with are yours.

We never hold your money, and we have no way to move it. Our only claim on a payment is the fee on that one payment, described in section 5.

A refund or a chargeback comes out of your Stripe balance, not ours. We cannot make a refund for you, and we are not responsible for one you make or do not make. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks are between you, your customer and Stripe; what happens to our own fee on a refund is in section 5.

Your use of Stripe is governed by your own agreement with Stripe. If Stripe suspends or closes your account, your booking page keeps working and stops taking cards, and there is nothing we can do about the account itself.

Data, and who controls it

For the personal data of the families who book with you, you are the controller and we are the processor: it is your data, we hold it for you, and we only do with it what you ask us to. Our privacy page says what that means in detail, and it is part of these terms.

For your own details as our customer, your name, your address, our correspondence and the record of your payments, we are the controller.

We do not sell anybody's data, we do not use it to advertise anything, and we do not use the families' details to contact them for our own purposes. Callover sends no marketing email of its own to anyone.

These terms and the privacy page are meant together to be the written agreement that Article 28 of the UK GDPR requires between a controller and a processor. If you need a separate signed agreement, ask and we will sign one.

As your processor we also undertake four things. Anyone who works on Callover with access to the families' data is bound to keep it confidential. If we learn of a breach of the security of that data, we tell you without undue delay, with what we know, and we help you with any report, assessment or consultation the law then asks of you. We give you the information you need to show that these obligations are met, and allow an audit by you or an auditor you appoint, on reasonable notice. And before we add or replace a company that holds the families' data, we tell you, so that you can object; if we cannot meet your objection, you can end Callover under section 10 before the change reaches your data.

Keeping it running, and support

Your deployment runs on Vercel and its database on Neon. Between them, and on a good day, that is as reliable as a small business needs, but we do not promise it will never be down, and we do not offer a service level with money attached to it.

Support is by email, from one person, in normal UK working hours. We aim to answer within one working day. If something is broken, say so in the subject line and it goes to the front of the queue.

We may take your deployment down briefly to update it. Where we can choose the time, it will not be in the hour before a class.

Where something goes wrong that costs a family a place or a payment, tell us and we will help you put it right. What we cannot do is undo a payment: that is Stripe's, in your own account.

Who owns what

The software is ours and stays ours. You are allowed to use it while you are a customer, for your own business, on your own deployment.

Your data is yours and stays yours: your bookings, your families, your payments records, your classes, your letters and your own text. Using Callover does not give us any ownership of it.

Your studio name, your logo and anything else of yours stays yours. We will not use your name as a customer reference anywhere without asking you first, and we will take it down if you change your mind.

Ending it

You can stop whenever you like. There is no minimum term and no notice period. Tell us and we will take your deployment down on the date you choose.

We may stop providing Callover to you by giving you at least 30 days' notice, so you have time to move. We may stop it at once only if you are using it unlawfully, if you are putting other people's data at risk, or if Stripe or our own suppliers require it.

Before your deployment is taken down we give you a copy of everything in your database, as files you can open and keep. You can ask for that copy at any time while you are a customer as well.

Thirty days after your deployment is taken down, your database is deleted and so is the copy we hold. After that we cannot get it back for you, which is why the copy comes first.

Your Stripe account is yours and is untouched by any of this. Disconnecting Callover from it stops new card payments through your page and changes nothing that has already been paid. It also means Callover no longer reads your Stripe account, so a refund you make after disconnecting, or after your deployment is taken down, does not return our fee.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Beyond that, and because Callover is sold to a business rather than to a consumer, our total liability to you for everything arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of the fees we kept from your bookings in the twelve months before the claim, after any fee we returned on a refund, and £500.

We are not liable for profit you did not make, bookings you did not take, or business you lost. We are not liable for what Stripe, Vercel, Neon or your email provider do or fail to do, and we are not liable for a class you ran or did not run.

You are responsible for what you tell your customers. If the price on your page is wrong because it was given to us wrong, that is between you and your customer.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, and a change to the fee always does, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.

The date at the top of this page is when it last changed. If you keep using Callover after a change takes effect, that is your agreement to it, and if you would rather not, section 10 is how you stop.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales are the ones that deal with any dispute about them.

If any part of these terms turns out not to be enforceable, the rest of them still stand.
